Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope 2. Today, we've got the download link the dedicated server files, the changelog for 2.3, and some news regarding the state of single-player in 2.3. Firstly, we have this wonderfully done release image/wallpaper for 2.3 by FatJoe. You can download the pack of various sizes for your desktop by clicking on the image above. Next up, a few quick notes. In case you missed Monday's post with the links for the pre-release torrent files, you can click on the following link to view the original update and find the links to the necessary client files. Also, for anybody that wishes to host the 2.3 client files on their FTP, please send an e-mail saying so to Flüster at info@warumdarum.de. He will give you instructions on how to do so for Friday's release. Thank you. And now we have some pictures of FH2 bots in action. In past releases, the single-player section of FH2 had been somewhat lacking. Today we are proud to announce that thanks to the work of Winterhilf and Remick04, that is no longer the case. Among the numerous changes, bots will now use aircraft armed with rockets, artillery, and the proper tank shell for the situation at hand. In addition to this, 12 news maps are receiving SP support in 2.3, including Battle of Brest, Ramelle, and St. Lo Breakthrough. Next up we have the server files for those who wish to host their own dedicated FH2 server. If you do not plan to do this, you do not need to download these files. Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Today we are very happy to announce the release date for FH2 patch 2.3. We also have some in-game screenshots of most of the new content you will find in 2.3 and of course, the pre-release torrent files. Forgotten Hope 2.3 Release Date!
First up, we have the passworded torrent files. You will not be able to extract the actual client files until Friday, October 1st when the password is released. In order to download these files, you will need to use a bittorrent client. We recommend one such as uTorrent. The following torrents contains the client files needed to properly play Forgotten Hope version 2.3. If you have an unmodified version of 2.26, then you will need to only download the 2.26 > 2.3 patch (555.69MB). If you have modified your FH2 install in some way (other than installing custom maps) or do not have FH2 at all, you will need to download the full install which is 3.3GB split into two parts. Download the Forgotten Hope 2.3 Pre-Release Torrent (incremental) Download the Forgotten Hope 2.3 Pre-Release Torrent (full - part 1) Download the Forgotten Hope 2.3 Pre-Release Torrent (full - part 2) We would also like to give a special 'thank you' to our beta testing team. Without their continued support and dedication to show up twice a week, download countless internal patches, and test the endless changes that the developers make, there would be no FH2 as we know it. And now for your viewing pleasure, we have some in-game screenshots of content that was only shown off in a render or didn't make it into a previous update at all. That's all for this week, but be sure to come back later this week for more news. Until then, feel free to visit our IRC channel channel and our public forums to discuss this update and other news.

Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. We apologize for having been away for a few weeks now, and we have been working very hard to get 2.3 ready for release, but for now, we have an update which will bring more variety to the infantry world of FH2. First and foremost, we have five brand new knives for the common soldier in both the US and German armies. From top to bottom we have the Fallschirmjäger Gravity knife, the Hitler Youth (or HJ) knife, the Luftwaffe knife, the Heer knife, and the US M1918 Trench knife. The Fallschirmjäger paratrooper, model OTF knife was true a gravity knife, in that the user had to point the weapon down and let gravity draw the blade out. Then it could be locked in the open position to assist if a solider had to cut himself free from a tangled parachute. The HJ knife was given to members of the Hitler Youth to be worn as a part of their uniform, and the Luftwaffe and Heer knives were given to troops in their respective units. Lastly, the M1918 Trench knife originally saw action in WWI. Its primary feature was a metal knuckle guard with small spikes to prevent anyone from grabbing the weapon, but also to improve the striking power of the solider using it. All knives will be present in various German and American kits in 2.3, and were made by Seth Soldier. Also in the next patch will be the new knife system designed by Kev4000, which will make the average player much more effective when using a knife, as well as make the average knife fight in FH2 much more interesting. Finally, we have an announcement from the Forgotten Honor tournament regarding the opening of Campaign 7. Here's what they had to say. Forgotten Honor proudly presents
