Landser Largesse28.05.2006 20:00 GMT Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope 2. Once again the Forgotten Hope Team would like to present some of the new models and skins we've been developing for the first release of Forgotten Hope 2! And for today's update we have a kind of feast of German Industry for the Wehrmacht. But before that we have good news for all Mac users out there! A Macintosh version of the Forgotten Hope Fan Mappack #6 Client for Forgotten Hope for Battlefield 1942(tm) is available. We would like to thank Adamward of Macologist.org for creating this version and invite you to grab it here. Even more good news! Last update we showed off the Duke of Holland's Sidi Rezegh Blockhouse. Since then, he has already finished another static and we are very pleased to announce that Duke of Holland joined the Forgotten Hope Developer Team. His abilities will be a great addition as you will see at his newest model - the Sidi Rezegh Barracks. Expect more from him to come in the future and give him a nice welcome in the public forums. The next item for today's news update is the German Opel Blitz 3 ton S (Standard) truck, the most common transport vehicle of the German army. As this is a hot day we decided to leave the blanking cover at home for today. The Opel Blitz was modeled by Lude, skinned and normal mapped by Jimbob and coded by ctz. Transportation of soldiers gets them to the battle, but without weapons they will not be able to fight. For this reason we opened the armory and have the all new Maschinenpistole 40 (MP40) at your disposal. This submachine gun had a magazine capacity of 32 rounds 9mm Parabellum ammunition. A maximum combat range of 100m and the rate of fire of 500 rounds per minute made an excellent weapon. The Maschinenpistole 40 was modelled by Hail of Nails and Rad. Rad also did the texturing, coding and animations. As final extra we have a small weapon with great effect for you today as well. The Stielhandgranate 24 carried an explosive charge of 165g. It's shaft made it easy to throw for a relatively long range. Hopefully this will light some nice fires in one or two holes. The Stielhandgranate 24 was made by Rad. That's all for today, but be sure to come back again next week for another Forgotten Hope update. Until then, we invite you to visit our public forums and/or our IRC channel to discuss this update or other news. |
