Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. For today's update we have some screenshots of an old weapon with a new addition and another brand new map. Before we start however, we would like to welcome two new developers to the team. kettcar will be responsible for making quality maps for FH2 and is also the creator of today's map. Engineer will be working to bring the weapons and vehicles of FH2 to life with all new sounds. First off for today we have a battle proven weapon, but with a new twist. Below are screenshots of the Fallschirmjägergewehr 42 (FG42) with the ZF4 scope mounted for increased accuracy. The scope was created by Seth Solider and the weapon was exported by Kev4000. Next up, we have the final map for 2.3 to show off, and it will certainly put your close-quarters skills to the test. This week we have Battle of Brest, set in Brittany, France. This map was created kettcar, with help from Remdul and Knoffhoff. As usual, you can view the minimap in the 'Maps' section of the website. The city of Brest with it's U-Boat pens was of vital importance to the German Atlantic fleet. For 28 days the city was bombed by 705 Allied attack planes and bombers, destroying the once beautiful city with over 360 tons of bombs. On September the 17th and 2nd US Infantry Division moved into the western part of the city, in which the German defenders put up heavy resistance from MG nests and fortified positions. The house to house fighting inside the ruins begun, where any crossing of a street could have deadly consequences. That's all for this week, but be sure to come back next time for another update. Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Today we are showing off two brand new artillery pieces and will reveal the second map for the upcoming 2.3 patch. But first, we would like to welcome Kraetzer to the development team! Of course we'll be showing one of his first contributions as a modeler/skinner today. Now, on to the update. The first render is of a dual purpose infantry gun/anti-tank gun for the Italian Army; the Cannone da 47/32 M35. This small Italian gun was originally an Austrian artillery piece designed and manufactured by Bohler. In the 1930s the Italian Army purchased and later produced the weapon under license. Unlike similar weapon systems like the PaK 36 or the Bofors 37mm, the 47/32 proved itself very successful, especially when equipped with special HEAT rounds. It was so successful in fact, that it was used as the main gun in many Italian vehicles including the M13/40 and the M14/41 medium tanks. The Cannone da 47/32 M35 was made by Kraetzer. Next up we have another Axis artillery piece, but instead of firing shells, this one fires 28cm rockets; the Wurfgerät 41. The Wurfgerät 41 (sWG 41) was very simple in design. The rockets were fired from their packing cases which were mounted in groups of four on a tubular metal launch frame. The sWG 41 could fire both 28cm high explosive and 32cm incendiary rockets. These packing cases were also mounted on captured French vehicles and halftracks such as the Hanomag, resulting in the SdKfz 251/1-II "Stuka zu Fuss" already in FH2. The Wurfgerät 41 was made by Toddel. Last but certainly not least, we have another brand new map to show off. This week we have St. Lo Breakthrough by Guderian. As usual you can view the minimap and loadscreen in the 'Maps' section of the website. Finally we would like to direct your attention towards the grass in these screenshots, as the undergrowth was tweaked by Remdul to look much more visually appealing. This change will be present on all maps after the 2.3 release. July 11th-18th 1944. After a week of stagnant, cautious fighting through dense hedgerows of the Normandy bocage, the U.S 29th infantry division is just a few miles North from the city of St Lo. The American advance is confronted with swelling resistance from the German 352nd infanterie division. The fighting is rigorous and brutal, a battle of cunning and sheer guts, of bayonets and hand grenades, of men making quick dashes across open fields. Continuing its determined advance, despite suffering mounting casualties, a formidable American attack pushes into the German left flank attempting to capture the high ground called Hill 108. This terrain dominates the St. Lo area which is nestled below in a saucer-like valley at the bend of the Vire River. Defending the Isigny-St.Lo highway is key to halting the U.S advance into the strongly held city. That's all for this week, but be sure to come back next time for another update. Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Today we are proud to announce the first map for the 2.3 patch and show of some in-game screenshots of the Wasp Mk IIC featured in last week's update. First up; the Wasp. This modified Universal Carrier can be found supporting Canadian troops on the battlefield by projecting flames many meters ahead. However, this tiny little armored vehicle will produce a large boom should it come under fire. The Wasp Mk IIC was exported and coded by Kev4000. Next up we have a map that many WWII fans should recognize; Ramelle-Neuville by Otolikos. You can view the minimap in the 'Maps' section of the website.

Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Today we are showing off not only two new armored vehicles, but a class type yet unseen in FH2. First up we have a variant of the British Universal Carrier; the Wasp Mk IIC, and with it we are happy to introduce the flame tank, or in this case, flame APC to the world of FH2. The Wasp was nothing more than a Universal Carrier modified to carry a Ronson flamethrower. The Mk I carried the fuel tank in the rear compartment of the vehicle, with the flamethrower in a fixed position. The Mk IIC version had the fuel tank moved to the absolute rear, and the projector placed in the co-driver's position. The original model was done by Omni, Toddel, and Rad, with the Normandy skin and flamethrower add-ons done by Toddel. Next on the list we have another StuG variant. This time we have the early version of the Sturmgeschütz 40 Ausf G. Early models of the StuG were designed to support infantry in destroying soft-skin targets and bunkers. After the KV-1 and T-34 tanks were encountered on the Eastern Front, a high-velocity 75mm StuK 40 L/43 gun was placed on the Stug III, along with a single Mg34 on top of the superstructure, and thus the StuG 40 was born. Later variants of the StuG 40 (like the one late-war version already in FH2) mounted a StuK 40 L/48 gun and an additional coaxial Mg34. Around 9,400 StuG IIIs were produced. The Sturmgeschütz 40 Ausf G. (early) was made by Toddel. That's all for this week, but be sure to come back next time for another update.
