The weekly awaited update is now underway, welcome to
The Road To 0.6 press release. Just as expected todays news will have more content then previous updates! Before we get into todays news updates the FH team would like to announce that we have released our long awaited internal 0.6 beta. Starting tomorrow we (and our fellow beta testers) are going to chew up and spit out every bit of 0.6 and see if it still holds shape. We are going to be debugging, tweaking, modifying, and even adding a few missing things from previous releases. This process could take some time and will be well worth the wait! The next version of Forgotten Hope will be one polished mod, which is proud to have dedicated fans such as yourselves!
Now it's time for the armaments! First on our list we have the German Defense Bunkers. These little babes were used on the coast of Normandy to defend against the allied attacks. Secondly the German Hanomang/Wurfkörper, this is basically an upgraded Hanomang. We did say we have more then two updates, so here it is, the Third German Gewehr 43 Rifle, standard German sniper rifle during ww2. Last but not least we have a historic re skin from the Merciless Creations merger, the German Panther D Eastern Front skin! Check out the detailed information below.

These bunkers played an important role in maintaining a defensive line on the coast of Normandy. They were used heavily during the D-day invasion to hold of the continuous allied attacks. They were constructed of Concrete and Steal ReBar, this made them a tough obstacle to overcome.

On the Eastern Front the Germans captured many Tokarev 7.62mm SVT38s and '40s self-loading rifles. The Tokarev rifle employed a much simpler but more effective gas-operated mechanism, which was duly copied by the Germans into the Gewehr 41(W). The product was the Gewehr 43. The Gewehr 43 was immediately put into production to replace the Gewehr 41(W). The new model was easier to produce in large quantities and was lighter and easier to reload. As a result it was a popular weapon among the troops. Many short-cuts were incorporated into the manufacturing process. Sometimes wood laminates and plasitc furniture were used. In 1944, a shorter version of the Gewehr 43 was produced, and it was known as the Karabiner 43 even though it was only 50mm shorter.

Jan 1943 Through Sept 1943, 850 Panther D (Sd. Kfz. 171) tanks were created. Weighing in at 44800(kg), this beast held 79 75mm KwK 42 L/70 tank shells and two 7.92mm MG34 (coaxial, bow) machine guns. But don't let it's weight fool you, it could travel at 46-55 km/h making it a deadly weapon.
