Custom mappers report in!24.10.2004 22:00 GMT We've got some good news for all of you mappers out there today! As with every major release of Forgotten Hope, we're compiling a custom fan map pack release for the mod. If you've previously released a map in earlier fan map packs then update your map so that it works with version 0.65. If you don't have a map and would like to submit one there is still plenty of time to do so, so get workin! Your final submission should be a .zip or .rar file containing the following: A readme.txt file with all of your contact information, plus any info you'd like to convey about the map. This readme must also include an agreement allowing Forgotten Hope to distribute the map, as well as make changes if necessary. The map itself, either a working .rfa file or an uncompressed directory. Either or is fine, however the map must work with Forgotten Hope version 0.65. All maps must be free of swastika's or other symbols deemed illegal throughout the world (if you're changing skin files for your map). This ensures that we can distribute the map pack all over If your map meets the above criteria then pack it up and get ahold of ArminAce in one of the following manners MSN/Email: ArminAce@aol.com ICQ: 82811360 Only the best maps will be included in this fan map pack. The deadline for all submissions is the 26th of November, so there is plenty of time to start a map now and get it finished in time! The person who submits the best map will be given a prize, to be disclosed at a later date. One thing to keep in mind, using content in your map from any mod other than Forgotten Hope, game, or something that is not yours is grounds for automatic disqulification. We only want original content. Also keep in mind that any mapper that really shines, and their map has not been given out to other people may be given the option of including their map as part of the common Forgotten Hope download. There is a weath of information at your disposal if you're having questions about mapping, just stop on by our public forums and ask away. There's always an expert mapper hanging out on our boards! |
