Dirty Vickers10.07.2006 20:00 GMT Hello and welcome back to another update of Forgotten Hope. Before we get started with the regular news we are happy to announce the addition of our newest team member Killi Vanilli. He is an experienced commercial animator who will be bringing his professional experience to Forgotten Hope 2. Let’s have a warm welcome for Killi Vanilli! Let get started with the first item for today--the Vickers Mark VI light tank, shown ingame for the first time. Introduced in 1935, these tanks were designed mainly as reconnaissance vehicles. The Vickers was equipped with twin Vickers machine guns 0.50 and 0.303 inch (12.7 mm-and 7.92 mm) - and was lightly armoured, so it was at major disadvantage against most enemy tanks. Nevertheless, it can provide significant mobile firepower against enemy infantry, making it a useful tool on the FH2 battlefield. The Mark VI B, version of the Vickers was found on most battlefields where British forces saw combat, throughout the early war period This vehicle was modeled and skinned by Montoya and coded by ctz. It bears a camouflage style typical of early war British desert forces. The second item we have for you this update is a bunker with an attached trench system. In the difficult supply conditions of the desert, this kind of permanent structure represented a large investment of time and materials. The bunker and trench system were modeled and skinned by Lobo. That's all for this week, but be sure to come next week for our next update. Until then, feel free to visit our IRC channel and our public forums to discuss this update and other news. |
