June 6th, 1944 - 0710 hours. More than half an hour behind schedule, the men of the 2nd US Ranger battalion arrive at their target - Pointe du Hoc. Despite the massive aerial bombardment and constant shelling, many of the bunkers on top of the 100 foot high cliff are still intact. The rangers will have to make their way to the top of the cliff and capture the bunkers to prevent them from directing fire onto Omaha Beach, barely 4 miles away. A failure at Point du Hoc will spell disaster for the men on the invasion beaches.
